The Georgia Bulldogs may have an answer at wide receiver after losing two of them to the transfer portal, Nitro Tuggle and Michael Jackson III, following the SEC Championship game.
ESPN's Max Olson reports that Georgia Tech star wideout Eric Singleton Jr., who entered the transfer portal on Monday, is visiting Athens as early as this week.
"Georgia Tech transfer WR Eric Singleton Jr. is expected to visit Ole Miss, Georgia and Auburn this week, a source told ESPN. SEC schools battling for one of the top playmakers in the portal," Olson wrote on X/Twitter.
The 5'11", 190-pound sophomore from Douglasville (Ga.) had been the Yellow Jackets lead receiver for the past two years.
He finished the 2024 regular season hauling in 56 catches on 91 targets for 754 yards and three touchdowns. He also added 131 yards and two touchdowns on the ground.
One of Singleton Jr.'s best games this fall came against the Bulldogs when he recorded a season-high eight catches for 86 yards and one touchdown in Georgia Tech’s eight-overtime loss.
In total, Singleton Jr. wrapped up two years in Atlanta logging 104 catches for 1,468 yards and nine touchdowns for the Yellow Jackets. He leaves the program looking for a new home with two more years of eligibility under his belt.
Singleton also has plans to visit the Auburn Tigers and Ole Miss Rebels this week.
