Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs are making up for losing star safety Malaki Starks to the 2025 NFL Draft.
After landing USC transfer Zion Branch on Sunday, the Bulldogs signed Miami transfer Jaden Harris on Tuesday, according to On3's Pete Nakos.
Harris, a former three-star recruit from Atlanta, GA, has two years of eligibility remaining. He returns to his home state after starting 13 games for the Hurricanes this past season where he racked up 40 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, 2 pass breakups, and one interception.
The loss of Starks will hit Georgia's secondary hard but they're doing a good job of making sure his void is filled. It's worth noting safety Dan Jackson also played his last snap for the Bulldogs, though it's unclear if he is headed to the draft at this time.
Aside from Branch and Hairrs, Georgia has rising sophomore KJ Bolden and junior Joenel Aguero in their safety room, who should each take big strides in 2025.
Additionally, the Bulldogs have three incoming four-star freshmen safeties joining the team in the spring.
