Kirby Smart's No. 2 Georgia Bulldogs (7-1) are headed to the College Football Playoffs as long as nothing disastrous happens.

The first College Football Playoff rankings dropped on Tuesday and have the Bulldogs seeded at No. 3. That means Georgia would hypothetically get a first-round bye and then face the winner of No. 10 Notre Dame (7-1) vs. No. 7 Penn State (7-1) if the playoffs started today.

But there is still a lot of football left on the table and Georgia must keep winning.

This week, the Bulldogs are in Oxford to take on Lane Kiffen's No. 16 Ole Miss Rebels (7-2). With a win, the Rebels playoff hopes would be dead.

But who else exactly should Georiga fans root for and against heading into Week 11 action of college football?

Here are three matchups from this weekend that Bulldogs fans should keep their eye on as Georgia looks to play in the SEC championship and lock in a first-round bye in the first-ever 12-team College Football Playoffs.

No. 11 Alabama vs No. 14 LSU

Rooting Interest: It's going to hurt saying "Roll Tide," but Georgia fans need to suck it up this week

Since Georgia and LSU don't play each other this year, the Dawgs need some help from Alabama to keep their path to the SEC championship as smooth as possible.

Georgia currently ranks No. 1 in the SEC with their only loss this season coming against the Crimson Tide. Alabama taking down the Tigers would ultimately determine the tiebreaker between Georgia and LSU and make Kirby Smart's and the Bulldogs' lives a lot easier. Things get a bit more complicated for the Dawgs if the Tigers win because that means then they have a better chance to take Georgia's spot in the SEC championship.

Mississippi State vs No. 7 Tennessee

Rooting Interest: Don't sleep on the other Bulldogs

No. 7 Tennessee has only one loss to Arkansas so far this season. Another SEC loss — especially to Mississippi State– would put Georgia in a comfortable spot.

And don't think that the Maroon and White Bulldogs can't do it either. They put up two nice Dawg fights against Georgia and Texas A&M — even though they lost.

Additionally, Georgia takes on Tennessee in Week 12 at home, so the Vols coming to Athens a bit shaken up could benefit them.

No. 19 Clemson vs. Virginia Tech

Rooting Interest: A Tigers win will simply make Georgia look better

Georgia kicked off the season with a blowout win over Clemson, who have turned things around since then.

The Tigers have lost just two games this season and if they keep their winning momentum up against the Virginia Tech Hokies on Saturday, then that helps Georgia look even more impressive.

It won't move Georgia up in the rankings or do anything for their SEC championship hopes, but making them look better is always a bonus.

*Editor's Note: Of course, No. 5 Texas losing to Florida would help too, but it's not likely to happen.
