Kirby Smart's No. 8 Georgia Bulldogs' (8-2) are back in playoff contention after taking down the Tennessee Volunteers on Saturday night, though it still feels like they got slapped in the face by the College Football Playoff Committee.

The third College Football Playoff rankings dropped on Tuesday and they have the Bulldogs ranked at No. 10 and seeded at No. 11. That means Georgia would hypothetically face No. 4 Penn State on the road if it kicked off today.

But there are still two weeks of ball left to play.

The Bulldogs have a light workload this week as they get ready to face UMass at home before hosting Georgia Tech.

Aside from rooting for a Dawgs win this weekend, here are three other matchups in Week 12 that Georgia fans should keep their eye on as the Bulldogs look to move up in the College Football Playoffs rankings.

No. 18 Army vs. No. 6 Notre Dame

Rooting Interest: Army beating Notre Dame is not just good for the Dawgs, it's good for America

How in the world Notre Dame is ranked above Georgia right now is beyond anyone's comprehension. They lost to NIU this season — a team no man could name five players from.

Now it's time for Army to show the world that this Irish team is a bunch of frauds and bump them below Georgia.

No. 9 Ole Miss vs. Florida

Rooting Interest: Ole Miss could use another loss under their belt

Typically, Georgia fans cheering for the team that they lost to is better for the Dawgs but now is not the time.

That's especially true if Georgia wants a shot at the SEC championship. Ole Miss loses to Florida and Georgia will move up closer to at least hosting an opponent in the first round of the playoffs.

No. 15 Texas A&M vs. Auburn

Rooting Interest: We're ignoring the Deep South's Oldest Rivalry this weekend

If Auburn can upset Texas A&M then that gives Georgia a better path to the SEC championship game and a first-round playoff bye.

To play it much safer, however, Georgia still has to win out and then hope the Aggies can beat Texas in their final game of the regular season. And then pending how Alabama's season plays out, a rematch against the Crimson Tide in Atlanta could be on tap.
