The Georgia Bulldogs are set to welcome the Texas Longhorns to Sanford Stadium on Saturday night.

And they’re looking healthier than expected.

Tight end Lawson Luckie (head) and defensive tackle Joshua Hortan (unknown) are off the injury report after being listed as probable this week. Additionally, cornerback Damello Jones did not land on the report despite nursing an elbow injury last week.

Luckie took a brutal hit from Mississippi State defender Jahron Manning the second quarter, a blow that resulted in a targeting call and ejection on Manning. He stayed down for several moments before trainers helped him to his feet and guided him off the field.

Jones was injured against the Florida Gators the week before and traveled to Mississippi State, but he did not play a single snap.

Smart confirmed to reporters on Wednesday that Luckie and Jones practiced all week.

“Both those guys are practicing, doing well,” Smart said.

Smart also gave some extra praise to Jones and what he brings to the table for Georgia football.

“Demello’s growth has been great,” Smart said. “He’s a very strong, physical kid. That’s why he’s been able to go and play some of the inside positions because he’s got some strength and he’s got instincts. He’s got good ball skills. He’s a good football player.”

In more good injury news, starting center Drew Bobo was not listed on the injury report after leaving last week’s game early with a cut on his hand.

Unfortunately, wide receivers Colbie Young (leg) and Talyn Taylor (collarbone) , tight end Ethan Barbour (ankle), defensive tackle Jordan Hall (leg), and defensive back Kyron Jones (foot) remain listed as out.

Having as many key players as possible healthy will be crucial for Georgia as they prepare to face the Longhorns Between the Hedges. However, Smart is very confident in the team’s depth.
