Former Georgia Bulldogs star and current Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Ladd McConkey is a name to watch heading into the 2025 NFL season.

According to NFL Rookie Watch, McConkey has been putting in a "scary" amount of work this offseason and has gained at least five pounds of muscle:

Ladd McConkey has been putting in a SCARY amount of work this offseason. McConkey has reportedly put on “5+ pounds” of muscle and is looking quicker on his feet than he’s ever been before.

One anonymous NFL DB that faced McConkey said he was the “toughest route runner” he’s ever had to guard.

Several NFL scouts reportedly believe McConkey is already a “Top-5” separator at the receiver position in the league.

Not to mention, McConkey and Justin Herbert’s connection reportedly picked up “right where it left off” at recent OTA practices.

The league is NOT ready for McConkey’s sophomore campaign.

The Chargers selected McConkey with the 34th overall pick in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft. He made an immediate impact in his rookie season in LA, recording 82 receptions for 1,149 yards and seven touchdowns. His standout performance included breaking the Chargers' rookie franchise record for most receptions and receiving yards in a single season, surpassing Keenan Allen's previous record. In the Wild Card Round of the playoffs, McConkey also set an NFL record for most receiving yards by a rookie in a single postseason game, with nine receptions for 197 yards and a touchdown.

While McConkey's rookie year was one for the books, his breakout season is loading, and the rest of the league should be put on notice.
