Georgia football's success on the recruiting trail only continues to roll, with Kirby Smart and Co. adding four-star defensive back Rashad Johnson to their Class of 2025 group of commitments.

With this, Johnson chooses the Bulldogs over the likes of Louisville, Penn State and Texas A&M, in addition to a number of other prestigious programs.

The 6-foot-2, 190-pounder out of South Sumter High School in Bushnell, Florida, brings a lot to the table for a secondary with the ability to be used at multiple positions. Don't be surprised if we see Johnson at corner, safety or star when he makes his way to Athens.

Johnson, who was officially offered by Georgia on June 3, is excited about the opportunity ahead of him with the nation's current ultimate team to beat.

"I’m putting myself in a good position," Johnson told UGASports after he visited Georgia. "I’m getting coached by (safeties coach Travaris Robinson), he’s a safety coach. He has plenty of experience putting plenty of people in the league. Coach Kirby Smart, he did the same thing. He played safety. It’s like I’m getting myself into a defensive head coach, a safety coach."

Nothing about Georgia's standards was sugarcoated to Johnson, either.

"They were like, it’s going to be hard," Johnson said. "They have good safeties. They were like, it’s not going to be like high school where I can just come in and start. I’m going to have to work. I was like, yes sir."

For Georgia's 2025 class, Johnson marks the fourth defensive back commitment alongside Jaylan Morgan, Shamari Earls and Todd Robinson. He's the 20th commitment overall.
