Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs won't be landing five-star tight end Mark Bowman after all.
According to On3's Hayes Fawcett, Bowman comitted to USC this week.
"The No. 1 TE in the ‘26 Class chose the Trojans over Georgia, Texas, & Ole Miss," Fawcett reports.
According to 247 Sports, Bowman is the No. 1 ranked tight end in the class of 2026, ranks No. 31 nationally and is the No. 3 overall prospect in the state of California.
Bowman quickly established himself as one of the premier tight end prospects in the 2026 recruiting cycle. The 6-foot-5 and 230-pound rising senior at Mater Dei (Santa Ana, CA) logged 42 catches for 715 yards and nine touchdowns in 2024, flashing his big-play ability and red-zone dominance.
Before comitting to USC, Bowman was also considering, Texas, Ole Miss and Ohio State.
While striking out on Bowman is a major miss for Georgia, they could still land fellow five-star tight end Kaiden Protho if they can beat out the Texas Longhorns.
