The Georgia Bulldogs' annual spring game kicks off on Saturday at 1 p.m. ET at Sanford Stadium.
Unfortunately, the game will not be televised nor streamed this year. However, fans can attend the srimmage in person for $10 or tune into Georgia Bulldog Radio Network for some play-by-play action.
As the day approaches, here are five key names to look out for.
Wide Receiver Zachariah Branch
Zachariah Branch, a former five-star recruit, transferred to Georgia from USC after hauling in 78 catches for 823 yards and three touchdowns over his first two collegiate seasons with the Trojans.
The Bulldogs lack elite pass catchers and finished first in dropped passes last fall, so all eyes will be on Branch this Saturday to see how hot his hands are.
His brother and former USC safety, Zion Branch, also transferred to Georgia with him.
Quarterback Gunner Stockton
This is an obvious one, but it must be said.
With Carson Beck chasing money in Miami, the Bulldogs are projected to turn to redshirt sophomore quarterback Gunner Stockton as their starter this fall.
Stockton has just one college start under his belt, and it came during the Sugar Bowl of the College Football Playoffs versus Notre Dame. He completed 20 of 32 passes for 234 yards with one touchdown and zero interceptions in the Bulldogs' 23-10 loss to the Fighting Irish.
Stockton's little in-game experience is exactly why these scrimmages are so important to Smart.
Defensive Back Kyron Jones
Kyron Jones, a former three-star recruit from North Carolina, has an interesting background because he could have gone to NC State to play running back, which was the position he played throughout high school. However, he chose to sign with Georgia and learn defense.
Jones has since taken snaps at STAR/nickel and safety for the Bulldogs. In 2024, he appeared in 12 games as a reserve defensive back and posted a career-high three tackles against Tennessee Tech. He also had two stops against UMass.
As Jones enters his third season at Georgia, the door is wide open for him to take on a much larger role, especially at safety.
Linebacker Zayden Walker
Zayden Walker, a current freshman and former five-star recruit, is expected to be Georgia's next Butkus Award winner Jalon Walker.
Walker, the nation’s No. 1 linebacker in the class of 2025, has insane athleticism and played on both sides of the ball in high school. In four years, Walker 57.5 tackles for loss 17 sacks and 57 touchdowns offensive touchdowns.
Fans can at least catch a glimpse as to whether or not he living up to the hype.
Tight End Elyiss Williams
Elyiss Williams is another freshman poised to make an impact in Year 1 with the Bulldogs.
The former four-star recruit finished his high school senior season reeling in 54 receptions, totaling 789 yards, averaging 14.6 yards per catch, and securing 11 touchdowns. He was also a basketball star, surpassing 1,000 career points during his junior year while averaging 15.5 points, 12.6 rebounds, and 2.9 blocks per game over his high school career.
Williams has been practicing with the Bulldogs since their Sugar Bowl prep back in December. Fans will finally get to see the excitement behind Williams as he prepares for a significant role in Todd Hartley's tight end room as a freshman.
