The Indiana Hoosiers are 11-0 for the first time in school history, and the only thing standing in the way of a 12-0 regular season is the Purdue Boilermakers.
What Curt Cignetti has done in just a two-year window is nothing short of remarkable. The on-field success has led multiple committed high school players to give Indiana a chance to try to flip their commitments. And it looks like they are trending in the right direction for a prime target.
Hoosiers now leading for Colorado commit D’Montae Tims
According to Colorado verbal commit D’Montae Tims, via a conversation with Steve Wiltfong of Rivals and On 3 Sports, the Hoosiers now lead his recruitment. Tims was in Bloomington over the weekend for the Hoosiers’ win over Wisconsin, and it seems that the trip greatly impacted the three-star safety.
Flipping a three-star prospect from Colorado may not seem like a big deal. However, in my opinion, if the Hoosiers can take a defensive back away from one of the best defensive backs of all time in Deion Sanders, it would be more notable than some may think.
The Hoosiers’ need to add safeties to their 2026 class also looms large. The team’s starter, redshirt senior Louis Moore, will officially depart this time around. Amare Ferrell is a junior and will have the choice to leave for the NFL Draft. Tims is one of Indiana’s top targets at the position in the 2026 class. Flipping his commitment would feel like a big win, and he himself says it is a “strong possibility.”
