He will only end up spending one season as an Indiana Hoosier, but quarterback Kurtis Rourke has certainly made his mark.

He played a pivotal role in helping the Hoosiers achieve their first-ever 11-win season, making it so Indiana is a part of the first-ever 12-team NCAA College Football Playoff.

The Hoosier's road to a national championship begins in South Bend, Indiana, with them traveling to take on the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. And while Rourke's current focus is fully on that game and the playoff as a whole, he has some more gold on his mind for the future.

IU QB Kurtis Rouke is interested in playing flag football at the 2028 Olympics

"Yeah, absolutely. I'd love to play in there (2028 Olympics), represent the country, and play flag football. I mean, flag football was one of the most fun parts of growing up and playing in those leagues. So, an opportunity to do that while representing my home country (Canada) can't beat that. If I get the opportunity, I'd do it for sure."

For those who don't know, flag football will be introduced as an event at the 2028 Summer Olympics, which has led many to question whether any notable NFL players will decide to participate and represent the United States.

While he won't be playing for the USA, Hoosier fans could watch their 2024 quarterback represent Canada in 2028. Rourke appeared on "The Walk" podcast and was asked if he would be interested in representing his home country in 2028, with flag football now a scheduled event.

Rourke didn't hesitate to show his enthusiasm about the potential of representing Canada on the football field. If Rourke was trying to represent the USA, I'd say he had an uphill battle just in case one of the elite QBs in the NFL elect to step up to the plate. But with Rourke being from Canada, I think he has a solid shot at earning a spot if he still has interest in about two to three years.
