Brian Kelly and the LSU Tigers may have lost a commitment from an important recruit commitment here recently, but they quickly bounced back with an even bigger addition this week.
With four starters from the 2024 offensive line departing for the NFL, LSU is clearly trying to restock that position group this offseason. They already added multiple transfers in important spots along the offensive line, but now they've landed a huge four star commitment from Brysten Martinez.
The Louisiana native and newfound cornerstone of LSU's 2026 recruiting class announced this week via his instagram that he would be joining Brian Kelly and his staff. This is obviously great news for the program.
LSU is likely about to see Will Campbell, Emery Jones Jr., Miles Frazier, and Garrett Dellinger be selected in the 2025 NFL Draft, so the momentum in offensive line recruiting for the Tigers should only continue this spring.
The Tigers have yet to lock in a big quarterback recruit for the 2026 recruiting cycle, but having monstrous high four star offensive tackles like Brysten Martinez and Jalan Chapman (interior offensive line) should certainly help in that department. Martinez already looks ready to start in the SEC from day one, and whoever's starting at quarterback for LSU in 2026 may need him to.
Martinez turned down several key SEC rivals with offers from Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M, and many more of the blue blood programs around the country. If Brian Kelly and his staff continue winning like this in high school recruiting while also bringing in the number one overall Transfer Portal class like they did in the 2025 cycle an LSU national championship team might just currently be under construction already.
