The LSU Tigers continue to post a strong offseason performance on the recruiting trail thanks to Brian Kelly and his staff's efforts. They've already locked in the number one overall Transfer Portal class and a top ten high school recruiting class for 2025. Now they're on pace for another Top 10 class in 2026 and the fantastic news keeps flowing.
As of Friday afternoon they have made it into yet another elite recruit's final few schools to choose from and it looks like they're the favorite to land him. And with much of their offensive line leaving for the 2025 NFL Draft this year they're going to need him as soon as possible.
Lamar Brown, Five Star IOL Recruit
Lamar Brown has been on LSU's radar for three years now as the Tigers offered him way back in the summer of 2022 before his freshman year of high school. Even then he quickly became a highly touted recruit who showed early signs of the impressive offensive and defensive lineman that he would grow into, and he's lived up to the hype ever since.
Now, three years later Brown has announced his final four schools, and to no one's surprise LSU is in the mix alongside Texas A&M, Florida State, and Miami.
The 6'4", 280+ pound five star interior offensive lineman has confirmed that he will take official visits to all four schools early this summer with Miami kicking things off in late May and LSU wrapping up his recruiting visits on June 20th. Given his in-state ties and interest to LSU mixed with the program's extremely early and consistent focus on bringing him in most experts do project Brown to land with the Tigers.
LSU has done a good job patching things up on the offensive line after losing four starters to the NFL Draft in Will Campbell (LT), Garrett Dellinger (LG), Miles Frazier (RG), and Emery Jones Jr. (RT). They brought in four top notch transfers and high pedigree offensive line recruits this cycle already to help make sure Garrett Nussmeier can stay upright this year. However, a couple of those new starters in 2025 will likely be gone after this season so Lamar Brown could show up and start from day one in 2026.
Let's hope Brian Kelly and his staff can seal the deal with Brown as he will immediately become the cornerstone of their 2026 recruiting class when and if he signs.
