The 2026 wide receiver class is a very, very important one for Notre Dame. Wide receiver coach Mike Brown and the Irish staff are in a great position with several top pass catchers in the country, and could be putting together a tremendous class.

Of that list of interested pass catchers, Charlotte (N.C.) Myers Park standout Brody Keefe was not one of them mentioned. While Notre Dame has had interest for a while, that interest didn’t seem to have been reciprocated much from Keefe. That could be changing.

According to On3 vice president Steve Wiltfong, Keefe has set a spring visit to Notre Dame. He will be heading to South Bend for a multi-day visit from March 28-29. Keefe will also be heading to Florida (March 8) and Georgia (April 12). While interesting, it’s unclear just how interested Keefe is but how well that visit goes will be a big indicator.

Keefe is a talented pass catcher, but he is also coming from a very important state for the Irish moving forward. In recent seasons, Notre Dame has gotten commitments from the state that include Bryce Young, Micah Gilbert, and Jack Larsen. North Carolina is becoming a very positive state for the Irish.

As a junior, Keefe hauled in 32 receptions for 408 yards and five touchdowns. That comes off of a sophomore season where the North Carolina native added another 41 receptions for 599 yards and 12 scores.

The 6-3, 185-pound pass catcher is rated as a four-star recruit on the 247Sports Composite ranking. They have him pegged as the No. 304 overall player and the No. 48 wide receiver in the 2026 recruiting class. Keefe is also ranked as the No. 14 player in the state of North Carolina on that ranking.

Despite a pretty modest overall ranking, Keefe has been pursued by some of the top programs in all of college football. Some of his top offers include the Fighting Irish, Georgia, Ohio State, Michigan, Tennessee, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, South Carolina, Michigan State, UNC, NC State, Virginia Tech, Arkansas, Illinois, Duke, and Wake Forest among others.
