2025 wide receiver recruiting has been a mess for Notre Dame football. After their recent failed flip attempt of SMU commit Jalen Cooper, the Irish staff has once again expanded the board. They are staying in the state of Texas, and are now pushing for Lancaster (Texas) High School pass catcher Emmanuel Choice, who is currently committed to the Oklahoma Sooners.

Choice is viewed as a near consensus three-star recruit by every major recruiting platform. The lone exception is On3, who sees Choice as a four-star player. They have him ranked as the No. 245 overall player and No. 36 wide receiver in the 2025 recruiting class.

The 6-4, 190-pound pass catcher has been pursued by some very impressive schools, even before he committed to Oklahoma back in June. Some of Choice’s top offers outside of the Sooners and Notre Dame include Texas, USC, Florida, Texas A&M, Tennessee, Missouri, Ole Miss, Arkansas, Nebraska, Kansas State, Colorado, Oklahoma State, TCU, Georgia Tech, SMU, Purdue, UCLA, Utah, Boston College, Houston, Baylor, Kansas, and Cal among others.

Choice is coming off of a junior season where he hauled in 38 receptions for 562 yards and six touchdowns. He also competes in track and field for Lancaster, specializing in the hurdles.

As of now, there has been open conversation between both sides. Choice never announced an offer from Notre Dame, but one was reported on October 22nd. The push is now for the Irish staff to get the Texas native on campus, and the aim is November 9th for their game against Florida State.
