Notre Dame 2026 recruiting has been rolling over the last several weeks, attracting several talented players from all across the country. One of those standouts includes Forney (Texas) High School running back Javian Osborne, who is considered one of the more talented playmakers in the class. Since Osborne committed back on May 3rd, the 5-10, 200-pound runner has become a pillar player in the talented group.

Osborne has not been shy of becoming a foundational recruiter for the class. He has taken to Twitter often to show who he wants with the Fighting Irish. The Texas star did the same on Friday, when he tweeted at two different talented targets. That includes Red Oak (Texas) High School wide receiver Brayden Robinson.

Robinson is coming off of an outstanding junior season for Red Oak, in which he led the team with 79 receptions for 1,408 receiving yards and 15 touchdowns. Robinson was also a dynamic playmaker as a punt and kick returner as a junior.

Despite being a smaller wide receiver at just 5-8 and 165 pounds, Robinson has been pursued early and often by a long list of fantastic football programs due to his talents to make big plays. The Texas product holds offers from the Fighting Irish, Ohio State, Texas, Oregon, LSU, Michigan, Tennessee, Auburn, Ole Miss, Texas A&M, Nebraska, and Penn State among many impressive options.

247Sports has Robinson rated as a four-star and the No. 40 wide receiver in the 2026 recruiting class currently. Their platform also has him pegged as the No. 35 overall player in the state of Texas, an area that has a long history of developing top talent and one that Notre Dame is tapping into more regularly under this staff. Robinson is ranked similarly on the 247Sports Composite ranking, sitting as the No. 333 overall player on that ranking.

Osborne also made another pitch to Glenside (Pa.) La Salle College athlete Joey O'Brien, who is a top target for the Irish. O'Brien has the talent to play either cornerback, safety, or even wide receiver.

O’Brien is rated as the No. 30 overall player, the No. 4 safety, and the No. 1 player in the state of Pennsylvania in the 2026 class by 247Sports. Some see O’Brien as a safety, while Notre Dame values him at the cornerback position with some offensive flexibility. At 6-4 and 190 pounds, he is a tremendous athlete that brings a lot of upside to the table.

On top of Notre Dame and Penn State, O'Brien has put together a long list of impressive offers. Some of the top programs that have offered him include Georgia, Ohio State, Alabama, Michigan, Oregon, Tennessee, Ole Miss, Nebraska, Miami, Clemson, Florida State, Michigan State, Missouri, Syracuse, West Virginia, Stanford, Boston College, UCLA, Duke, Indiana, and Illinois among others.

As a junior, O'Brien put together a tremendous junior campaign. On defense, he collected 36 total tackles, one interception, and 13 pass breakups. O'Brien was even better on offense, where he hauled in 68 receptions for 1,029 yards and 12 touchdowns. He also threw a touchdown for some added fun.
