The Notre Dame Fighting Irish are recruiting as well as they have in a very, very long time. Head coach Marcus Freeman has the energy in South Bend at an all time high since the turn of the century. That acquisition of talent has the future of the program appearing in a great place.
With the commitment of Brayden Robinson, capping off a great three days, there is a very small board now of 2026 recruiting targets. Let’s still have some fun, and try to predict the next three commitments for the Fighting Irish. That includes a surprise 2027 recruiting mention.
S Nick Reddish – Charlotte (N.C.) Independence
Reddish, who has been a key target for Notre Dame for over a year now, is set to make his decision on July 11th. Virginia Tech is the main contender for Reddish, where his older brother plays. The Fighting Irish value Reddish as a safety who can also play nickel. I like their chances next week.
DL Elijah Golden – Sarasota (Fla.) Cardinal Mooney
At 6-3 and 270 pounds, Golden has the combination of size, athleticism, and growth potential to become a playmaking three technique. That’s the mission element of an otherwise elite defensive line group for the Fighting Irish. Golden is set to make his college decision on July 26th, and Alabama is the other big contender. I like the Irish right now.
QB Teddy Jarrard (2027) – Kennesaw (Ga.) North Cobb
There isn’t deep intel here, and I don’t expect Jarrard to make a commitment in the near future. I do, however, like how things are trending for Notre Dame right now. While I wouldn’t say they are a substantial leader, they do seem to be in the top group already. Getting quarterbacks in the fold for recruiting purposes is very important.
