Several Ohio State Buckeyes chose to come back for another season and it paid off big time with a National Championship. In the process of winning a title, multiple of those players were able to boost their NFL draft stock.
Buckeyes RB TreVeyon Henderson was one of those players who had a standout season in 2024 for Ohio State. Henderson recorded his season 1,000-yard season in college and he did it while splitting touches with Quinshon Judkins, another running back who will hear his name called in April.
In the most recent mock draft from A to Z Sport, Henderson reunited with a very familiar offensive mind who could help him find success as a rookie in the NFL.

The Raiders use pick No. 37 overall in the second round to draft their running back of the future. Henderson ran for 7.1 yards per carry as a senior with Chip Kelly as his offensive coordinator. Kelly was hired as the Raiders OC after the Buckeyes won the National Championship and the two reunited.

Henderson is a complete running back at 5-foot-10 and 208 pounds with really good speed out of the backfield. At Ohio State; the former five-star recruit was able to become a great blocker in the backfield, as well as a receiving back in the passing game.
No bigger play existed for Henderson than the 75-yard touchdown just before the half against Texas in the Cotton Bowl. That touchdown that pushed the lead to 14-7 was the momentum shift the Buckeyes needed in that game.
As of recently, Hendedson’s stock has been trending upward and could go up even more after the NFL combine next week. A team like the Raiders makes sense for Henderson, a running back who has all the tools to have a long and successful career.
