The Ohio State Buckeyes continue to see love from evaluators in 2025 NFL mock drafts despite a poor showing against Oregon. These big game moments can expose players as much as they offer the chance to rise.

While the Buckeyes have seen a lot of offensive success through eight weeks, the defense hasn't lived up to expectations. Which Buckeyes are trending in the right direction for the 2025 NFL Draft?

Ohio State 2025 NFL Draft Outlook

We looked at three 2025 NFL mock drafts from this week and found Ohio State had at least two Buckeyes represented across each. One mock draft from The 33rd Team was a two-rounder, and zero Buckeyes were in the first round of that one. This one from The 33rd Team had two Bucks, and this one from our team at A to Z had three.

My mock with The 33rd Team included wide receiver Emeka Egbuka and defensive tackle Tyliek Williams. Egbuka landed with Denver with the 21st overall pick, whereas Williams found a new home with Minnesota at No. 30. I dropped cornerback Denzel Burke and running back Quinshon Judkins from previous mocks.

Burke was an obvious drop after being so exposed against Oregon. Judkins will need a strong end to the season to enter the mix of the first round despite his terrific talent. It's simply hard for backs to make it into the first round.

James Foster, former pride of A to Z, published a two-round mock with The 33rd Team. He had zero Buckeyes in the first but three in the second. Each landed within the top 10 picks of Day 2.

Egbuka stayed local with the Cleveland Browns, solving a major issue for an offense that just traded Amari Cooper away. He also had guard Donovan Jackson go to Jacksonville and tackle Josh Simmons land with the New York Giants.

I really like the landing spots and fits for each Buckeye, and I think this is realistic. I definitely think Foster missed on including Williams, who is one of the few impact 320-pound pass-rushers in that nation. Burke, Jack Sawyer, and Judkins are other Round 2 considerations.

Last, and certainly not least, is how our cumulative mock draft went here.

Egbuka landed in Dallas at No. 19, Burke to Tampa Bay at No. 20, and Sawyer to Detroit at No. 30.

Although Burke and Sawyer have dropped on our 2025 Big Board, the fact is the NFL doesn't always move in predictable ways. These two are very good athletes with decent production but play at key positions of need. I would not consider either in the first-round, but that doesn't mean they won't have long, quality NFL careers.
