Brian Hartline is again in the mix for another top wide receiver in the country. It is almost like you’ve heard that before.
Ohio State’s top wideout commit for the class of 2026 is no other than Mater Dei (CA) Chris Henry Jr., who is the No. 2 wide receiver in the country, according to 247 Sports Composite rankings. Now, the Buckeyes are in the mix to land Henry’s high school teammate.
Ohio State in the mix for four-star WR Kayden Dixon-Wyatt on May 4
Ohio State is one of five schools in the running to land four-star Mater Dei (CA) WR Kayden Dixon-Wyatt on May 4 when he announces his commitment. The Buckeyes are in the mix with Oregon, Texas, Alabama, and USC.
Dixon-Wyatt is the No. 15 wide receiver in the country and the No. 107 player overall. The 6-foot-2, 180-pound receiver is the teammate of Henry Jr. as mentioned but it feels like Oregon is the team to beat in this one. Along with Henry Jr., the Buckeyes have a commitment from four-star Jaeden Ricketts and four-star Brock Boyd for 2026. Boyd committed just a couple of weeks ago.
Ohio State is going to take three to four wide receivers in this class and the last one is up in the air. Dixon-Wyatt would be the ideal fit and the Buckeyes have been recruiting him for a while. Losing out on a recruit and the player ending up at Oregon would be a double loss for the Buckeyes.
On Sunday we will get to see if the Buckeyes can add to their No. 5 ranked class in the country for 2026 which currently has 11 players committed.
