College football is showing they want to embarrass Oklahoma Sooners even more during their inaugural SEC season
The Oklahoma Sooners have already embarrassed themselves enough during their first-ever season in the SEC. The Oklahoma Sooners have already embarrassed themselves enough during their first-ever season in the SEC. And, head coach Brent Venables would be the first one to tell you that, so, this isn't me being rude or unfair. They haven't been good at all and it's embarrassing, he's said so himself. This prestigious school and fan base deserve better.
But, what college football as a whole is doing certainly isn't helping. It's almost like they are running salt in a wound. The Sooners are down, as their loss to the Missouri Tigers is one of the more heartbreaking losses you will see not only this year but ever, for the Sooners.
And, it was pretty much on primetime TV, late at night when the bulk of the games are off of TV. The Sooners were playing a renewed rivalry game against the Tigers, a team trying to make the College Football Playoffs, and it didn't go well.
Two days later, college football makes matters worse, showing they really want to embarrass the Sooners.
As announced on Monday, the Sooners are set to play their game against the Alabama Crimson Tide next week in primetime. Yes, they, one of the worst teams in the SEC, will play Bama, one of the best teams in college football, in primetime TV, where everyone will be watching them get killed.
Not very smart by college football, or whoever has the final say in what teams play at what time. But, hey, they just want to run it in that the SEC isn't what the Sooners thought it would be.
