The Oklahoma Sooners are likely destined to see an end to a streak that we have all known for so long now. This streak has been active for as long as many of you have been alive. In 25 straight seasons, the Sooners have made a bowl game.

If they did it this year, which means they would be required to win six games, they would extend that streak to 26 straight seasons, which is a remarkable testament to the football program that they have built. After doing some research, it would appear that is the second longest active streak in college football behind the Georgia Bulldogs' 27 straight seasons, which will be extended to 28 this year.

To get that bowl game, they will either have to beat the Alabama Crimson Tide, which likely won't happen, this week or the LSU Tigers on the road next week in Death Valley. So, the odds are stacked against them.

We already know their game this weekend against Bama in Norman, Oklahoma is a night game. Now, we know the date and time for the day their streak will either be extended or ended.

According to the Sooners on Twitter, this game will also be a night game. And, believe it or not, that lessens the Sooners' chances of winning that game. Playing in Death Valley is hard enough, playing a SEC game on primetime TV at night is the hardest task in all of football.

So, good luck is all you can really say.
