It's fair to say that the Oklahoma Sooners are in a weird place right now with their football program, after being at or near the top for so long. They have had two losing seasons in the last three years and didn't have one before that since 1998.

But, there is hype and optimism around the Sooners entering the 2025 season, which is key because head coach Brent Venables cannot have another losing season or he will be gone. Even with that looming in the back of his head, the Sooners have to keep recruiting. And, that may make it hard to recruit.

However, they have been on a heater lately with some of their recruiting, and by the summer, could swipe up a recruit from under some up-and-coming programs like Missouri and Nebraska.

Oklahoma Sooners gaining steam on 4-star WR Jabari Brady

Jabari Brady is a 4-star wide receiver from the class of 2026 and one of the best high school football players in the country. At around 6-foot-2 or 6-foot-3 and 190 pounds, Brady is fast, strong, and athletic. He also plays basketball and runs track.

On the field, Brady has been impressive. As a freshman at Monarch, he caught 43 passes for 864 yards and six touchdowns, helping his team make the Florida 4M playoffs. In his sophomore year, he had 70 catches for 1,392 yards and 10 touchdowns, taking Monarch to the state semifinals. Now a junior at Chaminade-Madonna, he’s been named a 2025 Navy All-American.

Colleges are all over Brady, with more than 40 offers from big schools like Ohio State, Oregon, Miami, Alabama, and LSU. He’s narrowed it down to a top-10 list, including Texas A&M, Florida State, and Ole Miss, and has visits planned for June 2025 to places like Missouri, Nebraska, and Oklahoma.

Scouts love his route-running, hands, and ability to make big plays, ranking him as a top-5 wide receiver and top-10 player in Florida. He hasn’t picked a school yet, but he’s expected to be a major talent wherever he goes, and he possesses the skill set that Oklahoma desperately needed last year. Hopefully, they can impress him on their visit, and try to get him to go to Oklahoma.
