Ole Miss waited a year to get their revenge against Georgia and did so in a big way with a 28-10 domination of the Bulldogs.

The game wasn't very close, even if the score was throughout the game. The Rebels handled things well against the Bulldogs and didn't let them get anything going on offense. It was a massive win for Ole Miss, as it keeps them in the running for a spot in the College Football Playoff.

After the game, head coach Lane Kiffin was asked about the fans storming the field, as each instance incurs a fine.

"That might be two fines, Keith, because (the fans) actually stormed it twice, and that money goes to Georgia. We got LSU's money."

It's one of the wilder scenes in recent memory. The fans started storming the field with 16 seconds left after a failed fourth down conversion. Kiffin might have been calm, cool and collected in his press conference, but he was livid on the field.

The fines for storming the field in an SEC stadium are as follows:

  • $100,000 for the first offense
  • $250,000 for the second offense
  • $500,000 for the third offense plus

These penalties are for both football and basketball. Last season, the Rebels had to send LSU $100,000 for storming the field after their win. If they are charged twice since they technically stormed the field on two separate occasions, that would be $750,000 in fines.

That is a significant penalty for a team celebrating a massive win and Kiffin had no problem cracking a joke about it once the win set in.
