The Senior Bowl is finally here, marking the beginning of the 2025 NFL Draft season. For those unfamiliar, the Senior Bowl is the premier college football all star game that sees dozens (if not over 100) of their prospects selected in the NFL Draft every single year.

Jim Nagy, the Senior Bowl Executive Director, opened things up on Monday as he always does talking through the top players, answering questions with media. One of the first topics that arose were the quarterbacks as this year's class isn't assumed to have multiple first round prospects (unlike last year). However, the first name he mentioned at quarterback? Jaxson Dart of Ole Miss.

"Especially with Jaxson Dart, my phone probably pinged more when we announced him than any other quarterback. Just because I think guys want to see him in a pro-style offense and throwing into tighter windows. I've said this a million times over the last few weeks, but Lane [Kiffin] does such a good job there. [Dart]'s throwing routes on air all the time and that's not NFL football. I've even said something to Jaxson this week. Get ready to throw into tighter windows. But I'm really excited to see him out there."

Jaxson Dart has been sparking plenty of excitement across the NFL Draft community for several weeks following his spectacular 400-yard finish to his record-setting Ole Miss career against Duke in the Gator Bowl. His projected draft stock has risen from late round three to potential early round two, and if he shines at the Senior Bowl first round capital isn't out of the question.

He, just like his only other real competition at quarterback this week in Jalen Milroe, needs to prove a few things, but it's clear the NFL is excited about his potential. Lane Kiffin's scheme has historically helped his quarterbacks develop thanks to heavy usage of play action and RPO concepts, but any real concern about Dart's translation at the next level due to scheme is an oversimplification to say the least.

Hopefully Jaxson Dart shines like many expect him to, showing off his mobility, accuracy, and decision-making all week long at the Senior Bowl. If he does, there's no telling how early he might go in the 2025 NFL Draft.
