Ole Miss Rebels and Lane Kiffin chasing after top four star recruit as he reveals upcoming visits and finalist schools

Lane Kiffin and his staff are still fresh off of signing the best recruiting class at Ole Miss in nearly a decade, and certainly the best of the Transfer Portal and NIL era(s). Now they're trying to make sure they repeat that effort for 2026 as they build a strong foundation around new starting quarterback Austin Simmons.
Kiffin has been busy on the recruiting trail this spring making several crucial visits, and leveling up among several top targets as recruits begin revealing finalist schools for their services. It's apparently paying off already.
Bryce Gilmore, a high four star offensive tackle recruit recruit from Prosper, Texas just narrowed his top schools down to six and Ole Miss was announced as a finalist. Gilmore is also still considering Penn State, Arizona State, Arkansas, and Texas Tech, but Ole Miss looks like they're in a great spot to potentially land him.
Gilmore, son former eight-year NFL veteran wide receiver Bryan Gilmore, has amassed around 40 scholarship offers now as more and more schools begin to realize just how good he could be. Just this spring Penn State, Missouri, Colorado, Arizona, and more have offered Gilmore.
It's noteworthy that Penn State–although they just joined the fray with their offer–is among the Top 6 for Gilmore, as they have had virtually zero officially logged contacts with him. They might look like the "top program" in the mix for his services, but unless something wildly impressive happens amid his visits with Penn State it's quite possible the Nittany Lions are only there to pump up his perceived standing as a recruit.
Conversely, Ole Miss has been in on Gilmore since the spring of 2024, as Lane Kiffin and company clearly believed in his elite movement skills early on. That should help the Rebels' case as Bryce Gilmore's recruitment continues to heat up this spring.
Gilmore is visiting with most every one of his final six schools unofficially throughout the spring, then again over the summer for his official and final visits.
Ole Miss is set to host Gilmore the second weekend in April, which likely coincides with the Rebels' alternative to their spring game that Kiffin called the "Grove Bowl Games" last year. He'll then be taking his final official visit (as of this writing) near the end of June.
This spring and summer visit plan may work out perfectly for LAne Kiffin and company as Ole Miss had great success last recruiting cycle with their Grove Bowl Games recruits and wrapping things up as the final school for official visits. Let's hope Gilmore ends up in Oxford as he could certainly immediately compete for playing time along the offensive line in 2026 given his speed, strength, and agility combination at offensive tackle.
