Oregon Ducks have been connected to Nebraska’s Dylan Raiola, and what that could mean for Dante Moore
Oregon is showing interest in one of the top transfer portal quarterbacks already.
The Oregon Ducks have had plenty of success with transfer portal quarterbacks and Dante Moore is just the latest example. Now, all eyes are on what Moore is going to do after the season ends.
The big question on Moore is whether or not he stays another year at Oregon after just one season of starting experience, or if he makes the leap to the NFL. A recent development for the Ducks shows that he may be leaning toward the NFL.
Dylan Raiola is interested in Oregon as a landing spot
According to Chris Hummer of CBS Sports, Raiola and his camp are interested in Oregon being the landing spot once he’s in the transfer portal. News broke today via ESPN’s Pete Thamel that Raiola would be entering the transfer portal. Raiola is a two-year starter at Nebraska after being committed to both the Ohio State Buckeyes and Georgia Bulldogs as a high school recruit.
Raiola played in nine games this season before suffering a serious leg injury that cut his year short. Still, Raiola threw for 2,000 yards, 18 touchdowns, and just six interceptions this season with the Cornhuskers. As a true freshman last year, Raiola had 2,819 passing yards and 13 touchdowns. The former five-star recruit is expected to have several suitors.
There’s a growing belief around Dante Moore’s upcoming decision
The Hope for Oregon is that Moore will have at least four more games with them before he makes his decision. That would take the Ducks through the College Playoff and have them playing for a national championship. So far this season, Moore has 2,733 passing yards, 27 passing touchdowns, and just six interceptions.
Landing transfer quarterbacks has been the way for the Ducks and it could be again if Moore decides to leave for the NFL early. When it comes to quarterbacks in the 2026 NFL Draft, Moore’s name is who you hear most after Indiana QB Fernando Mendoza. Of course, this will all play itself out.
