Players to watch

Drew Allar QB

Allar entered the season as one of the top quarterbacks in the country. He is a physical freak with outstanding size, athleticism, and rare arm talent. While his down-to-down consistency has left people wanting more, his upside is undeniable. Ducks fans are very familiar with what Allar can do, as he had arguably his best game against the Ducks last season in the BIG-10 Championship game, where he accounted for four total touchdowns. 

Nicholas Singleton RB

Singleton almost single-handedly beat the Ducks in their last matchup against Penn State. He is a powerful, explosive, and violent running back who can churn out tough yards but also has the speed to break long runs. With Oregon’s run defense being its clear weakness, stopping Singleton will be a key to the Ducks’ winning the game. 

Kyron Hudson WR

A transfer from USC, Hudson is a big-play threat on the outside that Allar and this offense have been lacking. Hudson has the size and speed to dominate outside and has flashed good chemistry with Allar early this season. With Penn State no longer having Tyler Warren on offense, Hudson will be a go-to target for Allar when they face the Ducks. 

Dani Dennis-Sutton EDGE

Dennis-Sutton is one of Penn State’s most disruptive defenders, and his ability to collapse the pocket makes him a constant threat to opposing quarterbacks. The former five-star recruit has the size and athleticism to take over a game, and Oregon’s offensive tackles will have their hands full keeping him away from Dante Moore.

Zane Durant DT

Durant may not always grab headlines, but his presence in the middle of Penn State’s defensive line is critical. Quick off the snap and relentless in pursuit, he’s the kind of interior disruptor who can derail the Ducks’ running game before it starts. Oregon’s interior offensive line must account for him on every snap.
