Dan Lanning and the Ducks continue to swing for the fences in recruiting, as they should. They've made it a priority over this year's recruiting class, and the players that they're targeting for 2026, to go after quality, not quantity.

After already landing a group of studs in the secondary for 2025, like Trey McNutt, Dorian Brew, and Na'eem Offord, the Ducks are squarely in the mix for Elbert Hill, the No. 1 corner in the country in the 2026 recruiting class.

Oregon has an official visit lined up with Hill for April 19th, to get him out to campus during their spring practices. Any time Oregon can get recruits out to see the amenities, Autzen Stadium, and the natural beauty of Oregon, it's bound to make an impact. Above all, though, it's the culture and brotherhood that Dan Lanning is building in Eugene that multiple recruits have talked about over the last year.

“That’s where it’s at right now. Really like Bama, and really liking Oregon, and USC has been doing a hell of a job recruiting him. Oregon and Bama, they’ve been in the mix for a long time. USC is coming around. But those two have been pretty consistent,” Hills's father told On3.

Oregon is building a pipeline of success in the secondary, which isn't a bad plan when you have to face Ohio State and their constant pipeline of elite wide receivers, like Jeremiah Smith, in the Big Ten. Oregon could be building one of the best secondaries in the country if they can land Hill when the early signing period rolls around in December.
