Jackson Cantwell, the top overall recruit in the 2026 recruiting class continues to take his time, securing visits at the schools that he's interested in pursuing. In doing so, Cantwell continues to narrow down his list.

The latest report seems to think that three schools are separating themselves for the elite recruit, and Dan Lanning and the Oregon Ducks are reportedly one of the top suitors still in it.

“Jackson Cantwell pairs elite strength with outstanding movement skills and flexibility,” On3’s Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power said of Cantwell. “He’s a dominant run blocker with the athleticism that points to upside in pass protection. In what looks to be another strong cycle at offensive tackle, Jackson Cantwell comes out of the junior season as the top prospect at the position.”

As the Oregon Ducks look to get back to building their offensive line through recruiting instead of through the transfer portal, they currently have a commitment from the No. 4 offensive lineman in the country in Kodi Greene, and are heavily involved with both Cantwell and the No. 2 offensive lineman Immanuel Iheanacho, who they just had on campus last weekend.

Oregon has the potential to land a program-altering haul of offensive linemen in the 2026 recruiting cycle. If they do, the stability up front over multiple seasons as they grow and mature into the college level could set the Ducks up to have arguably the best offensive line in all of college football. There's still a long way to go on the 2026 recruiting trail, but the Ducks are pushing hard for the best that's out there.
