The Oregon Ducks have been working hard on elite 5-star offensive lineman Immanuel Iheanacho, and the marathon continues. Along with a handful of other top recruits, Iheanacho is expected to be back in Eugene this weekend. This is one that Dan Lanning and the Ducks will desperately want to get done.

Recently, Iheanacho cut down his list of potential schools to seven, with Oregon making the cut. The other schools in the running are Maryland (his home state school), Penn State, LSU, Alabama, Texas A&M, and Auburn. It's a whole lot of Big Ten and SEC.

Iheanacho is a mountain of an offensive lineman. At nearly 6-foot-7 350 lbs with still a year to go in high school, he's already built like one of the biggest NFL linemen in the league. Notably, his arm length will raise some eyebrows. The threshold that NFL teams typically look for in a draft prospect is 33-inch arms. Iheanacho already has arms that measure 36 inches, according to his On3 scouting report.

This is the type of pillar of an offensive lineman that you can build an entire offensive line around. In recent years, the Ducks have had to go to the transfer portal to bring in starting offensive tackle help. Clearly they want to change that narrative.

Iheanacho has also pointed out the fact that the coaching staff at Oregon has had recent success with developing offensive linemen on their way to the the NFL. This year, Josh Conerly Jr. is being considered a potential first round talent, one year after Jackson Powers-Johnson went 44th overall to the Las Vegas Raiders. The Ducks will look to put their best foot forward this weekend as they continue the recruiting process for one of the best offensive linemen in the country.
