Ducks fans of both football and basketball should be thrilled about the top 2026 Oregon commit's highlight reel on the court

Oregon currently has a commitment in the 2026 class from an elite two-way athlete, Kendre Harrison, that is poised to make immediate contributions both on the court and on the field. The 6'6" 250 lbs Harrison is the No. 1 tight end in the country and 17th overall ranked player in the 2026 class according to On3, and is the No. 8 power forward and 56th overall basketball prospect as well.
The high school basketball highlights for Harrison are just silly, as he extended Reidsville's winning streak to 21 games on the back of 22 points and 23 rebounds. Monster.
Any time you have a top prospect, you're going to be fighting off other schools that are trying to poach him away. With Harrison living in North Carolina, the threat got a bit bigger with the news of legendary head coach Bill Belichick taking the reins in Chapel Hill. Belichick visited Harrison on January 31, which was enough to make Ducks fans sweat.
A day later, Harrison took to social media, quieting the noise and reaffirming that he is locked in with Lanning and the Ducks.
There's still a long time to go before pen gets put to paper in the 2026 recruiting class, but holding onto Harrison is going to undoubtedly be one of the most important and most challenging tasks for Lanning and staff throughout the recruiting cycle. Belichick is in Harrison's back yard, which could prove to be a tough task for the Ducks.
