ESPN’s College GameDay is in town this weekend for the matchup between the Oregon Ducks and USC Trojans, so you know it’s going to be a big one.

Autzen Stadium will host a top-15 Big Ten matchup with major College Football Playoff implications. Neither team can afford a loss and still get into the CFP at this point, so the stakes are high. The team here at A to Z Sports is split on how this game will go.

Oregon 28, USC 24

The Ducks enter this matchup without a signature win and here is an opportunity to change that. USC is a solid football team ranked No. 15 in the country, and its passing game will be telling of whether or not Oregon can hang in the College Football Playoff. Oregon has had a great pass defense to date, but they haven’t exactly faced world beaters on the other side. That will change with Makai Lemon and Ja’Kobi Lane lining up wide for the Trojans. I have Dante Moore leading the Ducks to a close win over USC, one that should get them into the CFP. — Brandon Little, A to Z Sports Ohio State

USC 27, Oregon 21

This one has upset written all over it for me. USC just keeps winning the games they should, and staying in the games where they are underdogs. Last week, against a tough, hatred-nosed Iowa team, in some brutal weather, the Trojans gutted one out. That offense can play against any defense, and the defense is getting better every week. Lincoln Riley knows what’s at stake, as he hasn’t won a game like this in a minute. I have the Trojans upsetting the Ducks here. I think Oregon will struggle to stop USC’s high-powered offense, while also struggling to keep up. I’m probably very wrong, but my gut is telling me USC here. — Justin Churchill, A to Z Sports Oklahoma

Oregon 35, USC 17

No. 17 USC walks into Eugene playing its best football of the season, but this is the kind of matchup that exposes whether a contender is real or just living off close calls. The Trojans survived a sloppy win over Iowa in the rain, leaning on Jayden Maiava’s patience and a defense that finally showed signs of life. That same formula will be tested against an Oregon team that doesn’t give up explosive plays and punishes mistakes.

The Ducks aren’t the old score-at-will version of themselves, but Dante Moore has been sharp at home and the forecast calls for perfect conditions. That favors Oregon’s tempo and puts pressure on a USC defense that has sprung leaks in big road games. Injuries on both sides add another layer, with Oregon waiting on Dakorien Moore and Gary Bryant Jr., and USC monitoring multiple defensive starters. — Nick Wright, A to Z Sports Texas

USC 31, Oregon 27

The Oregon Ducks are a team in a unique spot right now. They clearly are a good football team, but for whatever reason, something feels missing. It is a program that lacks a signature win outside of their ugly victory over the Iowa Hawkeyes a couple of weeks ago, so all eyes are on the USC Trojans. Unfortunately for the Ducks, I think USC pulls off the upset here and makes things very interesting. Quarterback Jayden Maiava has had a really nice season, as has wide receiver Makai Lemon. I see the latter having another huge game and making his case for the Biletnikoff Award as a part of the upset win. — Ryan Roberts, A to Z Sports Notre Dame
