Penn State is set to have a huge transformation through the transfer portal.
A new era of Penn State Nittany Lions football is on the horizon. Whether this new era turns out to be good, bad, or the same as the last era under James Franklin is to be seen. However, we do know that a lot is about to happen with this football program, some of which may be hard to predict. How Penn State attacks the transfer portal is one of the things we may not be able to predict.
New head coach Matt Campbell has a way of doing things, a way that worked at Iowa State for years. However, will that work at Penn State? Will Campbell rely heavily on the transfer portal, especially in a season where he didn’t have a full cycle of recruiting for the 2026 class that’s set to come in for PSU?
