How to watch and listen to Clemson vs. Texas: College Football Playoffs coming to Royal-Memorial Stadium

Clemson coach Dabo Swinney said it best. Sure, playing in Royal-Memorial Stadium will be like a normal road game. Only it’s “a normal road game times a million, because this is playoff game.”
“You gone fishin’ if you lose this one, as Charles Barkley likes to say,” Swinney said. “You win you keep going, you lose you’re done.”
Both No. 12 seed Clemson (10-3) and No. 5 seed Texas (11-2) are relishing in the fact Saturday’s game will be a true first — the first College Football Playoff game in the expanded 12-team format. The Longhorns get to host this wild affair with the winner advancing to face the Big 12 champion Arizona State Sun Devils in the Peach Bowl.

This will also be a new viewing experience for college football fans. Some of the CFP games will be shown on TNT and streamed on Max. ESPN agreed to essentially sublease the TV rights of some CFP games to help offset the rights fees associated with showing the entire playoffs.
Fans who have normal cable or major streaming packages should have TNT, so that shouldn’t be a problem. If TNT isn’t showing NBA basketball, it’s probably airing “The Shawshank Redemption” or “Law & Order.”
Max (formerly HBO Max) is a streaming-only app available on most smart TVs, laptop browsers and phones.
“College football is evolving every year, and so I’m so blessed that we get to be a part of history, the first 12-team playoff, first time in the SEC, everything that's going on around Austin around the burnt orange,” safety Michael Taaffe said. “It’s so cool to be a part of it, and it'll be a lot cooler if we go finish the mission.”
