Heading into the 2025 college football season, there are a lot of expectations for the Texas Longhorns. The program has continued to trend upward under head coach Steve Sarkisian, and now they are looking to get over that final jump and win a National Championship. Under Coach Sarkisian, you can always expect a great offensive unit with some dynamic playmakers.
One underrated aspect that has helped to build this program back to prominence is what Kyle Flood has done with the offensive line recently. The offensive line was a problem for several years previously, but that room has been injected with more and more talent over the last few recruiting classes. That includes offensive tackle Kelvin Banks Jr., who was selected with the No. 9 overall selection in the 2025 NFL Draft by the New Orleans Saints.
The Longhorn staff is trending in a great direction with various top targets on board in the 2026 recruiting class. That includes Clearwater (Fla.) High School offensive lineman Samuel Roseborough, who has become a top target for Coach Flood in the cycle. Roseborough released his top five schools on Tuesday, and the Longhorns were included.
Texas was joined by the Ohio State Buckeyes, LSU Tigers, Texas A&M Aggies, and the Florida State Seminoles That is quite an impressive list of potential suitors.
Roseborough is considered to be a consensus four-star recruit by every major recruiting platform. He is currently pegged as the No. 130 overall player, No. 7 interior lineman, and No. 16 player in the state of Florida for the 2026 recruiting class. The state of Florida has been one of the very best in terms of developing top talent for the next level.
Outside of the finalists for Roseborough, he possesses a really impressive offer list. Some of the other top programs who have pursued the Florida standout include Georgia, Alabama, Michigan, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, South Carolina, UNC, Syracuse, Washington, UCLA, Vanderbilt, and West Virginia among many others.
The 6-5, 285-pound offensive lineman is very physically gifted. Roseborough has a very clean frame, and has plenty of room to grow. He has a chance to be a stellar player on the next level, with all the upside in the world.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have some of the strictest guidelines for what kind of person makes their team of any in the NFL, so it's not a surprise when they prioritize signing former captains. The Texas Longhorns run their program like an NFL team does, and that often means having high-character leaders headline their locker […]
