One of the bigger talking points of the offseason for the Dallas Cowboys was if they were going to get ahead of the curve and exercise the fifth-year option on wide receiver CeeDee Lamb.
After an appearance on 105.3 The Fan in Dallas on Tuesday, Cowboys' executive vice president Stephen Jones indicated that getting that bit of business done was on the team's radar. Well, the Cowboys have done just that 48 hours later.
Lamb is now locked in through the 2024 season. He will make $17.99 million that year.
With Lamb under contract for at least the next two seasons, the Cowboys can now work on a long-term deal with him which they can execute soon or at any time before his fifth season come about.
Adding on to right tackle Terence Steele signing his free agent tender, the Cowboys got some big business done on Thursday.
