The NFL draft is at the end of the month, and per usual, the Dallas Cowboys are one of the more intriguing teams to watch.

A debate can be had on which of their needs is the most important. However, one of the most talked about is wide receiver.

With that said, the Cowboys are hosting Boston College wide receiver Zay Flowers for a top-30 visit on Monday.

The speed of Flowers (ran a 4.42 in the 40-yard dash) is what will catch most people's eye. Also, he's a quick twitch route runner thanks to his amazing footwork which aids in him being able to get separation.

A 5'9" and 183 pounds, most would label Flowers as a slot receiver only. However, he logged 1,767 snaps as an outside receiver as opposed to 797 from the slot in college according to Pro Football Focus.

Assuming Flowers is the pick for the Cowboys in the first round, he would allow All-Pro CeeDee Lamb to operate more in the slot where he's been a monster throughout his career, much like Brandin Cooks does. Also, with Cooks being almost identical in size (5'10 and 183 pounds) and with his track record for producing in the NFL, he'd be a great mentor for Flowers.

Speed and separation are two things the Cowboys need desperately at receiver. With Flowers coming in for a visit, plus Tank Dell of the Houston Cougars working out for them last week (ran a 4.49 in the 40-yard dash), the Cowboys are making it known that they recognize this issue at the position.

Flowers can eat up defenses on intermediate routes, crossing or drag routes, or vertical routes down the field, he has no limits. He's been one of the most talked about players when it comes to the Cowboys and he'd be an immediate plug-in and play guy if he's picked.
