With a month ahead of the 2022 NFL Draft, there's not a ton of day-to-day news around the league. Therefore, several national talk shows resort to discussing hot takes about America's Team, the Dallas Cowboys.

It is no secret that the Dallas Cowboys bring in ratings. The Cowboys are the most valuable franchise in all of sports across the world. A large fan base that stretches all over, it makes sense for the franchise to be a constant topic of discussion.

However, talk hosts can get carried away it. The new age of social media has led to more and more people sharing hot take after hot take. Turn on the television, and you are guaranteed to hear something that is out there — especially if it involves the Cowboys.

That brings us to Colin Cowherd.

Cowherd hosts The Herd, a weekday show aired on Fox Sports 1. Cowherd has been known to be critical of Dak Prescott and the Cowboys since Prescott took over the starting job in Dallas. Cowherd took that to another level.

When ranking the quarterbacks in each division, Cowherd slotted Washington Commanders signal caller Carson Wentz ahead of Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott. Yes, Cowherd is ranking Wentz ahead of Prescott in the year 2022.

The Prescott-Wentz debate was a real thing for a few seasons. Then, it became clear that Prescott is much better, evidenced by the Eagles — and now the Colts — parting ways with the No. 2 overall pick of the 2016 draft.

This isn't a debate anymore. In fact, the real debate is who is the second best QB in the division. Is Wentz better than Jalen Hurts at this stage of their respective careers? An argument can be made in Hurts' favor.

All of this is used for discussion, which has clearly worked. Still, it is ridiculous for anyone to still think that Wentz is anywhere close to Prescott right now. The Dallas Cowboys are obviously in much better hands.
