Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones appeared on 105.3 The Fan on Friday morning and made several interesting comments.

Perhaps most noteworthy was his thoughts on the coaching staff, expressing his disappointment in underachieving. The comments do not paint head coach Mike McCarthy in a great light.

It is difficult to imagine Jones pulling the trigger on the McCarthy experiment after two seasons; however, the Cowboys owner is certainly frustrated.

“I got a lot to think about regarding these coaches,” Jones said on Friday morning.

Jerry Jones’ radio appearance has taken the Dallas Cowboys fan base by storm. There is now real discussion on whether or not Mike McCarthy will be back on the Cowboys’ sidelines next season.

Not all the comments that Jones made on Friday were negative, though. The Cowboys owner remains very supportive of who Dallas has behind center.

Dak Prescott has been the Dallas Cowboys starting quarterback since taking over the reigns in 2016.

Prescott has led Dallas to three divisional titles and a trio of playoff appearances. He beat Russell Wilson head-to-head in the postseason and inked a massive contract last offseason to stay with the Cowboys.

Despite a bitter end to the 2021-2022 season, Jerry Jones remains confident in his franchise quarterback. He expressed his opinion that Prescott can win a Super Bowl with the Cowboys.

Dak Prescott has proven to be one of the best signal callers in the NFL since taking over for Dallas. He is consistently among the best in several metrics and was on an MVP-level track this season prior to straining his calf near the halfway mark of the schedule.

The Cowboys are tied to Prescott for the foreseeable future after signing the quarterback to a four-year, $160 million contract last spring. Prescott has cemented himself as a top-10 quarterback and has flashed top-5 ability.

There are real questions on whether or not the Cowboys will bring Mike McCarthy and Kellen Moore back next season. There is no question, on the other hand, about who Jones wants as his quarterback.
