The Dallas Cowboys (8-3) beat the New York Giants (7-4) in what some called the Odell Beckham Bowl as well as the Battle for Beckham. With Odell Beckham Jr reportedly narrowing his decision down to his former team and America's Team, with the Buffalo Bills still in play.
The Cowboys players themselves are doing heavy recruiting, including QB Dak Prescott, for OBJ's services. Even some of the coaches and front office, as well as former Cowboys players like Michael Irvin, Marcus Spears and Deion Sanders.
Including some noteworthy non-Dallas Cowboys associates. Including FS1 Analyst and co-host of Undisputed, Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe.
Sharpe has been (surprisingly) impressed with the Dallas Cowboys as a whole this season. Thinking that if Beckham wants to win another Super Bowl and be a big factor in it, Dallas is a "No Brainer". Despite being unimpressed with their victory over the Giants.
Now that the game has passed, Beckham will take the next week to visit New York and Buffalo. Having had his visit in Dallas on Thanksgiving. The day of the game. Including another (official) visit set for December 5th.
Beckham wants three things when considering a new home: Use in the offense, realistic ability to compete for a Super Bowl and a multi-year deal.
Conventional wisdom says the Beckham needs to heed Sharpe's word. Sign with the Dallas Cowboys.
Aside from CeeDee Lamb, the Cowboys are playing inconsistent to lacking at the wide receiver position. With Michael Gallup and Noah Brown as the next options outside.
If OBJ is to sign with the Cowboys, he immediately comes in as at least WR3.
The Cowboys players want him in Dallas. So does ownership, fans, coaches, analysts and even people who want Dallas to fail.
Only thing that will stop this from happening? Money. Which always talks loudest.
