Perhaps the biggest fan of the black jerseys is a guy that used to wear them the last time the Lions had them. He also happens to be the head coach of the Lions now. That's Dan Campbell. He wanted the black jerseys to return and asked Lions president Rod Wood about them in 2021. Wood said the Lions would bring them back under on condition.

Welp, we all know what happened in 2023. The Lions won their first divsion title since 1993 and perhaps the carrot dangling in their face the whole time was the return of the black uniforms. Campbell got his wish. The black is back and it's cooler than ever.

I can't wait to see this in action at Ford Field in 2024. What a look.
