The Detroit Lions defense is just getting beaten up with injuries right now. They lost Josh Paschal and Khalil Dorsey to the IR before their Week 2 game to the Seahawks. Now you can add edge rusher James Houston to the lost of players that are going to be out for a while.

Houston went down early in the game with an ankle injury. He had only played 11 snaps. He never came back in and was brought out of the stadium in a wheel chair with crutches on his lap after the game. Lions Head Coach Dan Campbell had this to say about Houston after the game.

"Houston will be out for a little while."

We now know that a little while means a long while. Houston will more than likely be added to the IR very soon this week and then the wait is on. This is a tough loss for the Lions to take.

That number will have to go up.
