We’ll find out the Green Bay Packers‘ full 2022 NFL schedule on Thursday night when the league-wide schedules are revealed, but on Wednesday we learned the game-time/date for one of the franchise’s biggest matchups of the season.
The NFL revealed on Wednesday morning that Green Bay will host the Dallas Cowboys in week 10.
According to a tweet from the Cowboys’ official Twitter account, the game will be played on November 13 and it will occupy the coveted 3:25 PM CT/4:25 PM ET Sunday afternoon timeslot. This particular matchup will be “America’s Game of the Week”.
This should be a pivotal mid-season matchup that has major implications on the NFC playoff seeding picture.
Dallas is the favorite to win the NFC East while Green Bay is the favorite to win the NFC North. Both teams have Super Bowl aspirations. In fact, I think it’s safe to say that if either of these teams fails to reach the Super Bowl this upcoming season, it will be viewed internally and externally as a massive letdown (it will probably cost Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy his job…he almost didn’t make it to 2022 as the Dallas head coach).
The Packers and the Cowboys are always must-see television, thanks to being two of the most popular NFL teams in the world. Slotting this game as “America’s Game of the Week” was likely an easy decision for the NFL.
