We have our answer after three days of wondering whether or not Green Bay Packers wideout Christian Watson will play against the Chicago Bears.

And the final verdict is: he won't.

The Packers officially ruled the second-year WR out of Sunday's matchup on Friday. Head coach Matt LaFleur is hopeful Watson's hamstring injury is of the week-to-week variety, so it's unknown if Watson will be able to play in Week 2 against the Atlanta Falcons.

"Hopefully it's just week-to-week," LaFleur told reporters after practice. "… He's been a pretty quick recovery guy in the past. Again, we're just going to take his deal day-today."

Romeo Doubs, the other Packers receiver dealing with a hamstring injury, got in another limited practice on Friday and was listed as questionable. All-Pro left tackle David Bakhtiari will officially play after a regimented week of practice.

Packers’ final injury report ahead of Week 1 vs. Bears

Watson is a dynamic part of the offense that provides big plays and stretches the field, but the Packers have been dealing with his hamstring injury pretty much all week long, so they've had plenty of time to prepare for his potential absence.

"We still had a whole week to kind of prepare for this, so I wouldn't say that'll alter the plan too drastically," said LaFleur. "I think anytime you're missing one of your better players, it certainly throws a little curveball at it. But that happens all the time. Shoot, the Chiefs had to deal with that last night."

It'll be interesting to see how the Packers make up for Watson's injury on Sunday against the Bears.
