It took Green Bay Packers rookie wideout Grant DuBose months to get on the practice field, but it only took about a week for him to leave his mark on the field.

Per reports, DuBose has been making plenty of plays over the course of the last couple of training camp practices. He didn't play against the Cincinnati Bengals, but that's sure to change this week against the New England Patriots.

Especially after the comments Packers head coach Matt LaFleur made ahead of Wednesday's joint practice with the Patriots.

"I've been really impressed with Grant," LaFleur told reporters. "You never quite know when a guy's missed that much time. I mean, we haven't seen him, at all, in live exposure and for him to be able to get in there in some situations. And we knew in the classroom, he was really sharp. I mean, he was on top of everything, asking a ton of questions and always reaching out to [wide receivers coach] Jason Vrable and I think, you know, Jason Vrable does a heck of a job with that room.

"But he's getting in there and taking advantage of those those opportunities, as well. Just knowing what to do – playing fast, definitely has aggressive hands. So we're excited about him."

DuBose has an excellent chance to continue his impressive streak against a very good Patriots secondary that finished No. 2 in defensive pass DVOA last year, per Football Outsiders. The secondary is healthy, as well, so he'll get the full brunt of what Bill Belichick's defensive back group is capable of.

"You watch tape, but anytime that you've gone against a defense like this, you know, it's a very game-plan-predicated defense where they could throw a lot of different things at you and that is a challenge," said LaFleur. "But [it's] one that we're excited for and it's great to have that in a practice setting."

If he can keep up the pace, then it's safe to say the Packers will have an all-out battle for the WR6 spot, which is a great problem to have.
