Rookie hazing is officially a thing of the past (good riddance), but that doesn't stop teammates from pulling innocuous fast ones on the first-year players from time-to-time.
That's exactly what happened to Green Bay Packers rookie quarterback, Sean Clifford, before Wednesday's joint practice with the New England Patriots. Per ESPN's Rob Demovsky, Clifford was seen sprinting out of the Don Hutson Center (which is the Packers' inside practice facility) and he was confused as to where the team he was supposed to be:
About 20 minutes later, the Packers came running out of the correct location and fortunately, Clifford was there right beside them:
It's pretty clear what's going on, here.
The Packers are going up against Bill Belichick's defense, which plays all kinds of mind games with quarterbacks. Especially quarterbacks. The team was just getting Clifford used to all the different looks he's about to receive during practice.
And, sure enough, he passed this test. Now, he should be ready for anything on the field after his own teammates played him.
