Indianapolis Colts general manager Chris Ballard is under a lot of pressure going into the 2023 NFL Draft.

His seat is considered to be among the hottest among league executives and he faces a very challenging situation going into next week: He must find the Colts a quarterback with the fourth overall pick.

The task is made particularly difficult considering there are at least two quarterback-needy teams ahead of them and there are massive rumors all around the league on how both the second and third-overall pick could be traded to other teams looking for their next signal-caller.

But the Colts GM isn't buying into any of the reports circling around the news and social media. When asked whether he thought he knew who was going to be selected ahead of the team's pick, Ballard kept it real.

"No, and I don't think anybody everybody thinks they do," the Colts GM told reporters on Friday. "I mean, of course, everybody thinks they do. And everybody has an inside source that's given them information of what's going to be done. But I think as you all know, just look at the mock drafts. And tell me if they're accurate after the draft. You don't nobody knows. Nobody is giving out information."

And does Ballard believe people are lying around the league? After all, it's multiple insiders who are strongly suggesting that Bryce Young is already a Carolina Panther and that the Houston Texans are about to pass on a quarterback. Are they all wrong or straight-up lying?

"Everybody's lying, I might be the most honest, unfortunately," said Ballard. "But everybody's lying."

What about himself in that moment while wearing that Colts hoodie?

"Usually if you ask me a question, I'll either dance around it or give you an answer," said the GM before adding the kicker. "Today I'm a dancer."

Yeah. I guess you can say the NFL Draft is, indeed, pretty darn close.
