The Indianapolis Colts added Gardner Minshew in free agency, but the search for a true franchise quarterback continues. With the 2023 NFL Draft quickly approaching, the search is only heating up.

Chris Ballard is under a lot of pressure to figure out the most important position on the roster. There's a great chance that he uses the first-round to address the hole. However, does the general manager want to bank on a rookie signal caller?

That is up for debate until the draft plays out. Fortunately, there is a marquee quarterback currently on the market: Lamar Jackson. And the Colts happen to be the favorites to land him.

Lamar Jackson is free to negotiate with any team in the NFL after the Baltimore Ravens placed the non-exclusive franchise tag on the former MVP earlier this offseason. Additionally, Jackson outright requested a trade in March.

Therefore, it's safe to assume that Jackson's future with the Ravens is at least in some level of jeopardy. Whether or not he is actually wearing a different uniform next season remains to be seen.

But if he is indeed traded, the Indianapolis Colts have the best odds of landing the MVP-caliber signal caller. Which would obviously go a very long way in finally solving the quarterback problem in Indy.

The Colts' currently have +300 odds to be Jackson's next team. That's ahead of the Atlanta Falcons (+400) and Detroit Lions (+500), who round out the top-three.

Jackson would instantly provide the Colts with a much-needed spark behind center. His dynamic playmaking ability paired with Shane Steichen's offense could do some serious damage in the AFC.

For now, Lamar Jackson remains on the Ravens. However, the odds suggest there is a decent chance that he is on a different team next season. The Indianapolis Colts have better odds than anybody else to be that team.
