The Indianapolis Colts saw yet another rookie go down with an injury in Week 7.

2nd round pick Juju Brents left with a quad injury on Sunday, and now Nate Atkins from the Indy Star reports that Brents is set to miss the team's Week 8 matchup with the New Orleans Saints and potentially more.

Atkins' report shared that Brents will miss Week 8 but also shared that he could go on to miss multiple weeks. A team source has confirmed to me that Atkins' report is, in fact, accurate.

The Colts will now have to figure out other options at corner for Week 8 and potentially longer. 2023 7th-round pick Jaylon Jones will likely move into the team's top boundary corner spot, and Darrell Baker Jr. is the most likely in-house starter option. Baker Jr.'s struggles this season are evident, though, which leads me to question whether the team will look at out-of-house options.

When I asked this question to a team source, I got the following answer:

"Chris and his team are always looking at their options to improve our team. A timeline for Juju hasn't been finalized, but if the team saw a clear upgrade to the spot available, I think they would certainly go that route"
